2011 Kentucky Oaks: Start Time, Field, Odds And More

Before the Run for the Roses on Saturday, there’s the Lillies for the Fillies.

The Kentucky Oaks is a Grade I stakes, 1 1/8-mile race for three-year-old Thoroughbred fillies that’s held annually on the Friday before the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs (See updated Derby odds here). The winner receives a $500,000 purse, the Kentucky Oaks Trophy and a large garland of lilies, hence the nickname.
