Yes, it's another mock draft. yes, it's another team picking first (Seattle). Yes, Stanford's Andrew Luck going first overall.
Rock out with your 2012 NFL mock draft out: Peter Schrager
Starting to see a trend here folks?
The latest 2012 draft prognosticator is Peter Schrager of FoxSports.com. After the obvious choice, Schrager goes a little out of the norm in the top 10.
He's the first to put USC quarterback Matt Barkley in the top two, going to Washington. He also puts Oregon cornerback Cliff Harris in the top five, going fourth Cincinnati. Harris, an upcoming junior, is a good player. But unless he develops into a generational player, it's hard to see him going that high. Unlike Patrick Peterson, or instance, Harris doesn't have top size or playmaking ability.
The other big shock is seeing San Diego State quarterback Ryan Lindley getting picked sixth overall. Lindley is a big, tall pocket passer who was fortunate to have one of the nation's top wide receiver duos last year.
There aren’t a lot of odd players in the mock, other than Georgia defensive tackle John Jenkins in the first. Why is it odd? Jenkins hasn’t played a down for Georgia after transferring from junior college. He’s a player to watch, sure. But he’s not on the radar quite yet.
