NCAA Baseball Super Regionals 2011, Florida St. Vs. Texas A&M: Aces Dueling In Sixth

Unsurprisingly, Game 1 of the NCAA Baseball Super Regional between Texas A&M and Florida State has been a pitchers duel, as aces Ross Stripling and Sean Gilmartin are both throwing very well. Through five innings, both have allowed one run and the game is tied up at 1-1.

Matt Juengel started off the scoring with a solo home run off of Gilmartin in the first inning, but the FSU star has been nearly perfect since then. He has no walks and he’s only allowed two base hits, more than atoning for his early mistake. The Seminoles answered instantly by manufacturing a run in the bottom of the first, and like Gilmartin, Stripling has avoided mistakes since then.
