Best known for playing Frank De Fazio on Laverne & Shirley, Phil Foster had a long career before that as a standup comedian. One day in 1954, he went into a recording studio and committed this bit to vinyl. It involves Brooklyn ace Carl Erskine and a typical Dodgers fan, the latter imbued with a cynicism born of decades without a championship. Is the record still funny? Was it ever funny?
