John Calipari’s Contract Extension Could Make Kentucky His Last Coaching Job
Of course, that’s ssuming he’ll actually end up retiring in the next decade or so, as he’s said he intends to do.
The new deal will average about $4.5 million per year plus incentives -- which means he’ll bring home more than most NBA coaches will. With two Elite Eight trips already in two years at UK, including his first-ever Final Four appearance*, it looks like Calipari will be with the Cats well beyond his 500th victory**.
