As the NFL Lockout rolls on, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a new goal: he wants to win the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament this weekend in Lake Tahoe.

Romo tied for second in the event in 2010 (with John Elway, John Smoltz and Jack Wagner) and was by himself in second in 2009. He'll be trying to knock off former journeyman NFL quarterback Billy Joe Tolliver, who won in 2010. Another top competitor will be former Los Angeles Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Rick Rhoden, who won the event in 2009.
The absurdly star-studded list of competitors in the event also includes Elway, Charles Barkley, Ray Allen, Jerome Bettis, Martin Brodeur, Marshall Faulk, Jimmer Fredette, Goose Gossage, Brett Hull, Lou Holtz, Michael Jordan, Jason Kidd, Greg Maddux, Dan Quayle (yep, Dan Quayle), Jerry Rice, Aaron Rodgers, Emmitt Smith, Steve Spurrier and Deron Williams.
The first round of the tournament will begin on Friday at 8:30 AM, and will be broadcast on Versus from 1:00-4:00 PM Pacific. The second round will be televised on NBC on Saturday at 12:00-3:00 Pacific, and the final round will be on NBC at the same time the next day. Here’s a full schedule of tournament events.
