The Nashville Predators showed off new home jerseys at the team's "Skate Of The Union" event on Wednesday. You can take a close look at them here. SB Nation's Predators blog, On The Forecheck, also has plenty of pictures.

The jerseys emphasize the gold color that had been less prominent in their uniforms in recent years - this isn’t the mustard-y color that they wore in their alternates from 2001 to 2007. Instead, it’s an aggressively bright color that the Predators had mostly previously used to complement the dominant color of blue. My sense is that these uniforms may end up becoming controversial, but one blogger calls the jerseys “stunning” and says that seeing them in person is the only way to judge them. On The Forecheck also notes that the team will use navy pants (and navy helmets), which should balance out the gold somewhat.
The uniforms emphasize Nashville’s musical heritage, featuring guitar strings that go through the numbers on the back of the jersey, and guitar picks on the arms.
Also at the “Skate Of The Union” event, Predators chairman Tom Cigarran said that almost as soon as it was announced that the Atlanta Thrashers would move to Winnipeg, the Predators (true to their nickname) had developed a plan to start poaching fans from the Atlanta area.
