This weekend, the Camping World Truck Series departs from NASCAR’s other national touring series for the Coca-Cola 200 presented by Hy-Vee, a stand-alone event at Iowa Speedway. With the Sprint Cup regulars in Loudon and out of the mix, the Truck Series regulars will fight it out for bragging rights.
NCWTS is in the spotlight at Iowa Speedway - The Coca-Cola 200 Preview
This is only Iowa Speedway’s third truck race, but a trend is already starting to develop. For the past two years, the polesitter has won the race. Mike Skinner did it in 2009 and Austin Dillon did it last year. Qualifying will be important and who better to capitalize on track position than Dillon? He has been dominant at this track, leading 187 of 205 laps of the last race here.

Rookie Parker Kligerman has been steadily improving throughout the season. He has two consecutive second-place finishes, a feat not accomplished by a rookie since Carl Edwards in 2003. Look for Kligerman to contend for the win now that Kyle Busch, the most formidable opponent, is skipping this race.
Kligerman and Dillon are inching closer and closer to the top of the points standings. Second through fifth place are separated by only 12 points.
Defending series champion Todd Bodine was slated to miss this race because of lack of sponsorship. Fortunately, Randy Moss Motorsports and International Trucks stepped in to offer him a ride in the No. 5 truck that won here in 2009. Bodine and Germain Racing have struggled with sponsorship for the past three years since losing Lumber Liquidators. There has been no word on whether this sponsorship will last the rest of the season.
Sauter is currently your points leader. Cole Whitt, Austin Dillon, James Buescher, and Parker Kligerman round out your Top 5.
