Baylor Bears head coach Art Briles announced that his team will take the field in new, lightweight uniforms designed by Nike this season.
Baylor Unveils New Football Uniforms For 2011
The first uniform change since 2004 will provide the Bears with up to 12 uniform combinations, including two helmet colors--the traditional Vegas gold and a white helmet that has been worn the past two seasons.
Baylor will have two jersey colors (green for home games, and white on the road) with three colors of pants--Vegas gold, white, and green. The gold and white pants will feature two green claw slash stripes which wrap around the front of the thigh, while green pants will feature gold piping down the side.
Changes to the jerseys include a larger version of “BAYLOR” across the chest, and player numbers will be outlined in gold on the shoulders, replacing the interlocking “BU” logo that will continue to be present on the upper left-side of the pants.
The Bears open their 2011 schedule at home in a nationally-television game on ESPN against 2011 Rose Bowl champion TCU.
