Ryan Longwell, Vikings Reportedly Agree On $12 Million Deal

Veteran free agent kicker Ryan Longwell has agreed to a four-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings, according to a report by Judd Zulgad. The deal is reported to be worth $12 million, with $3.5 million guaranteed, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Longwell has become a staple of the league, having played in 224 games throughout his 14-year career -- including the last five with Minnesota. Undrafted out of Carolina, the 36-year-old spent his first nine seasons with the Green Bay Packers, becoming the all-time leading scorer in Green Bay Packers history with 1054 points. Longwell also holds the record of the most field goals made in Green Bay Packers history (226).

Longwell’s re-signing comes on the heels of a near-perfect season in which he converted 94.4 percent (17 of 18) of his field goal attempts -- the highest percentage of his career. Within the past two years, the reliable Vikings kicker has only missed five attempts altogether -- three field goals and two extra points.
