The college football season is creeping closer and closer which means it is time to start ranking draft prospects. These rankings will be subject to change throughout the season. Each week the players will either help or hurt their draft stock impacting the position ranking. Don't forget that someone always emerges and becomes a surprise top prospect, like Nick Fairley.
Dove’s 2012 NFL Draft Rankings: Cornerback

This is the deepest and most talented position of the 2012 draft. There are high end players like Dre Kirkpatrick, Stephon Gilmore, and Cliff Harris. You also have vets like Chase Minnifield and Janoris Jenkins. There could be as many as 6 cornerbacks taken in the 1st round of the 2012 draft. That number depends on underclassmen declaring but being projected as a 1st round player is tough to pass on.
After the jump, check out my preseason cornerback rankings for the 2012 NFL Draft.
