Brodrick Bunkley Traded To Cleveland Browns; Philadelphia Eagles Get 5th Round Pick

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to wheel and deal on Saturday, trading Brodrick Bunkley to the Cleveland Browns for a fifth-round pick. Philadelphia has been busy in free agency and on the trade market, with numerous moves meant to assemble what they're now calling the "Dream Team." Bunkley became expendable throughout the process, despite being a mainstay on the defensive line for the better part of his career with the Eagles.

The news came from Jeff McLane, Eagles beat writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Eagles drafted him with the 14th pick in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Bunkley had been a long-time starter in Philadelphia, amassing 133 tackles and 16 sacks from the defensive tackle spot.

In return for Bunkley, the Eagles were able to free up a bit more cap space, as well as acquire another pick for the 2011 NFL Draft.
