Redskins Trade Vonnie Holliday, Pick To Cardinals For Tim Hightower

The Washington Redskins are fueled by activity. Just sheer, raw activity. Doing stuff for the sake of doing stuff. The latest transaction: trading DE Vonnie Holliday and a conditional, late-round draft pick to the Arizona Cardinals for RB Tim Hightower.

Do the Redskins need a fantasy touchdown vulture running back more than they need a veteran pass rushing end? I don't know. It's a Redskins trade. But hey, the Cardinals like to make trades too! They just traded for Kevin Kolb. Trades all around.

Hightower has averaged 36.1 rushing yards per game in his three-year NFL career. Holliday will be 36 this season, but is good for a handful of sacks per year. I’m not trying to sound biased with those brief descriptions.

For more on this trade, head to Hogs Haven and SB Nation DC or Revenge Of The Birds and SB Nation Arizona, depending on your standing.
