The college football season is creeping closer and closer which means it is time to start ranking draft prospects. These rankings will be subject to change throughout the season. Each week the players will either help or hurt their draft stock impacting the position ranking. Don't forget that someone always emerges and becomes a surprise top prospect, like Nick Fairley.
Dove’s 2012 NFL Draft Rankings: Defensive End
North Carolina continues to pump out top rated defensive players. This year Quinton Coples is not only my top rated defensive end but my #2 overall prospect. He is a complete defensive end with the ability to create pressure but also hold against the run. However, don’t sleep on his teammate Donte Paige-Moss as he is also a very good defensive player. The rest of the group features players with potential but are a little inconsistent.
After the jump, check out my preseason defensive end rankings for the 2012 NFL Draft.
