Several years ago, our peerless leader gave the world a stat called Beane Count. And it was good. Who among us doesn’t remember what he was doing when Beane Count was delivered unto us? (I was reading Rob Neyer’s baseball column.)

↵Anyway, today I offer but a pale imitation: Hendry Count. Just add a team’s ranks in Quality Starts, Defensive Efficiency, Pitchers’ Walks, and fewest Hitters’ Walks. Actually, don’t bother, because I think you see where I’m going with this.
