The Denver Broncos preseason circus is underway, with Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow looking predictably unremarkable. It would be pretty stunning to see anyone but Orton win the starting quarterback job at this point, but that won't stop the speculation from dominating your airwaves and internet space until Week 1 of the season. At the end of the first quarter of their preseason game, the Broncos and the Dallas Cowboys are tied up at 3-3, but the Broncos' field goal had nothing to do with quarterback play.
Broncos Vs. Cowboys: Kyle Orton Shaky, Felix Jones Beasting, Tim Tebow Enters
Orton was 2/6 for 37 yards before being taken out of the game, which would lead one to believe that the job is basically his right now. Tebow was 1/1 in his first series before the Broncos were forced to punt, but was lucky to have a bad interception called back for pass interference. He’s been hit hard a couple of times and it looks like the Broncos line is doing their best imitation of that racist tight end from Remember The Titans.
On the other side, Felix Jones is looking like an absolute beast for the Cowboys. He had three carries for 33 yards and one reception for 17 yards on the Cowboys' opening drive. Some poor playcalling and execution kept them out of the end zone, but it's preseason so I think the fans can let it slide. Romo was 3/5 passing for 33 yards before being pulled out of the game for Jon Kitna.
