Russell Okung Injury: X-Rays Negative On Left Ankle
According to team doctors, the 23-year-old’s ankle isn’t broken, however, a sprain or high ankle sprain remains an option. In that case, it’s a possibility that Okung may miss most of the preseason, and, depending on the severity of the injury, the opening of the regular season as well. Head coach Pete Carroll is scheduled to speak to media after the game and should have further news.
If Okung’s injury is lingers, it would be a huge blow to the Seahawks’ offensive prospects. Mired in an uncertain quarterback situation, Seattle was expected to rely heavily on the former first-rounder’s immense contributions to the run game this year.
