Liverpool Vs. Sunderland: Suarez Skies Penalty For Reds

Wow. What a start at Anfield – Luis Suarez takes advantage of some sloppy passing in Sunderland’s defence and charges clean through at the Sunderland goal – Kieran Richardson brings him down in the box and it’s a penalty to Liverpool. Suarez dusted himself off to take it – and blazed it out of the stadium. That was an awful effort.

There was some controversy that Richardson should’ve been sent off, but Suarez had taken the ball to a more acute angle, and Sunderland defenders were racing back. Richardson escaped with a yellow, but that was a very close call.
