West Brom Vs. Manchester United: United Youngsters Start

Manchester United head to the Hawthorns in the second Premier League match today, as they take on a West Brom side that was rejuvenated under Roy Hodgson last year.

Teams:

West Brom: Foster, Reid, Tamas, Olsson, Shorey, Brunt, Scharner, Mulumbu, Morrison, Tchoyi, Long. Bench: Cox, Dorrans, Jara, Thorne, Fortuné, Dawson, Fulop.

Manchester United: De Gea; Smalling, Vidic, Ferdinand, Fabio; Nani, Anderson, Cleverley, Young; Rooney, Welbeck. Bench: Lindegaard, Jones, Evans, Berbatov, Giggs, Park, Carrick

Interesting for United as Chris Smalling starts at right-back, and Fabio, Cleverley, and Welbeck also come in for a very youthful side. In addition, Anderson in midfield means this is a very attack-minded, pacy United team.

West Brom give a start to £7m signing Shane Long, who joined from reading this transfer window. Peter Odemwingie, the Baggies’ top scorer last season, and Graham Dorrans miss out.

Stay tuned to this thread for live coverage of the game.
