Manchester United are knocking the ball around beautifully and it should have been rewarded with a second goal. The Red Devils' beautiful interplay reached its peak in a beautiful move that began with Tom Cleverley around the half way line. The ball got to Nani, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck and they all played quickly with one or two touches all the way down the field. In the end, Rooney played Welbeck in, Welbeck played it back to Rooney and Rooney fed Nani, who was unmarked near the penalty spot, but Nani wasted it by putting the shot well over the bar. A beautiful move undone by a sloppy finish.
West Brom Vs. Manchester United: Nani Wastes Great Opportunity
Sloppy finish or not, United have themselves a lead and are in complete control. With 70 minutes left to play, West Brom can undoubtedly find a way back, but they’ve known no signs of doing so yet. This is all Red Devils and it would be fair to say that United are more likely to score two more than the Baggies are to get one.
