The unquestionable brilliance of Lionel Messi strikes again. The diminutive Argentinian didn't score the goal this time, but his setup was just as pretty as Andres Iniesta's finish. After just 15 minutes of play at the Camp Nou, FC Barcelona lead Real Madrid 1-0 in the second leg of the 2011 Spanish Supercup, and 3-2 on aggregate.
Barcelona Vs. Real Madrid, 2011 Spanish Supercup: Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi Combine For Brilliant Goal
Real Madrid's defending should have been a whole lot better on the goal, but that doesn't mean that Messi and Iniesta should have any credit taken away from them. With the defense stepping up to close down Messi, Barca's No. 10 played an absolutely fabulous through ball into space for Iniesta, who timed his run perfectly to stay onside and play himself one on one with Iker Casillas. Once in front of the goal, he hit a great chip over Casillas's head into the back of the net, giving Barca a one goal lead on the night and in the tie.
Away goals do not count in the Supercup, so Madrid will be level if they score the next goal.
