Quick, who was the last major leaguer to smoke a pipe? (No, an actual pipe with commercially produced tobacco in it.) I have no idea. We know that it isn't Hall of Famer Johnny Mize, the guy shown here in this advertising piece from the late ‘30s/early ‘40s. Come to think of it, when is the last time you saw anybody smoking a pipe?
