Last season Texas A&M had a breakout season piling up 9 wins and their most successful season in a long time. One of the biggest reasons for A&M's resurgence was the play of running back Cyrus Gray. Gray utilized his quickness and big play ability to compile 1,133 rushing yards with 12 touchdowns. He also contributed in the passing game with 34 receptions, 251 yards, and 1 touchdown.
NFL Draft Mystery Prospect Game: Week #2 Results
Gray is not a household name but if he builds on last season’s success he could be a dark-horse Heisman candidate. His Heisman run will depend on Texas A&M’s success and Gray’s production on the field. Gray might have been the best running back in the conference but he only earned All- Big 12 Honorable Mention. Look for Gray to make a push for the All- Big 12 team. Gray’s quickness and explosiveness make him a legitimate NFL draft prospect. He could very well be the 2nd running back selected.
