Cue crappy one-hit wonder Europe because this week is the final countdown before Mocking the Draft fantasy leagues one and two draft.
MtD fantasy football update
League one is set to draft Saturday at 7 p.m. (EST). League two is set to draft Sunday at 4:30 p.m. League three, if you recall, has already drafted.
Then that’s it. No more teams, no more leagues. Sorry to everyone that has been emailing. If you’re desperate for a league, leave a comment and maybe you’ll get into a league. After the jump, the only two tips I care about in fantasy football.
Tip 1: Pre-rank your players for success. Leagues one and two have 16 teams each and 16 players per team. That means there will be 256 players on active rosters. Holy moses! If you’re not going to be in the draft, make sure to pre-rank so you don’t get stuck with a backup kicker.
Tip 2: Don’t waste money on fantasy football magazines. For $7.99, about the price of the typical fantasy draft mag, you could eat a delicious hamburger. Instead, use one of the many fantasy football resources that are online. Yahoo! Sports has some nice content. SBN has Fake Teams. There are plenty of others. If you’re not a wiener, share your favorite in the comments.
Yahoo! Fantasy Football supports SB Nation and pigskin awesomeness. It’s also the #1 Fantasy Football game thanks to dazzling player research, instant stats with free live scoring, iPhone, Android, and iPad apps this season. Plus, new scoring categories for long receptions and rush plays. (Yes!) Sign up at yahoo.com/fantasyfootball
