MtD Fantasy Football League 2 Draft Results

The final MtD fantasy football draft just ended up as the selection process for League 2 took a brisk hour and 45 minutes.
Like the other two MtD fantasy football leagues, this one is 16 teams, standard non-PPR scoring. We start one quarterback two running backs, three wide receivers, a tight end, a defense, a kicker and one running back/wide receiver/tight end position. Because of the roster layout, wide receivers seemed to be at a premium. Four were taken in the first 17 picks.
One of the surprises early in the draft was Texans running back Arian Foster dropping to fifth. Concerns over his hamstring injury pushed him behind Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, Rashard Mendenhall and Ray Rice. Chris Johnson was picked eighth.

My first four picks were Calvin Johnson (11th), Tom Brady (22nd) and BenJarvus Green-Ellis (43rd) and Tim Hightower (54th).
To me, two teams in the league clearly stand out looking like the best immediately after the draft.
One team, the league winner, may have an appropriate name. Run by site regular manraj, his team has Ray Rice, Felix Jones, Joe Flacco, Vincent Jackson and Chad Ochocinco. He wisely picked up Texans backup Ben Tate who could be great if Foster’s injury lingers.
The other team I thought did a great job drafting was the stupidly named nepg’s got this shit. He picked up

Michael Turner

in the first round and added Sam Bradford, Dwayne Bowe, Shonn Greene and Rob Gronkowski. He pulled off a late-round steal by picking up LaRod Stephens-Howling of the Cardinals. He should receive plenty of carries with Ryan Williams out for the season and Beanie Wells being injury prone.
Biggest steal: James Starks, 112th overall
The Packers may have a logjam of ball carriers, but none is better than Starks. He should get plenty of carries this season and develop into a consistent playmaker.
Biggest reach: Knowshon Moreno, 45th overall
News flash: Moreno has been terrible. While the running backs were drying up quickly, Jahvid Best, Tim Hightower (who I picked) and Ryan Grant were all still available.

He’s a bit of a liability in the run game, but his potential in the pass game was enough for Buffalo Rumblings.

It’s a high-potential pick for a Detroit defense that needs a solid pass rusher.
