Peyton Manning Running, Throwing At Colts Camp, According To Report

The Indianapolis Star reports that Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, who is currently on the physically unable to perform list due to neck surgery back in May, was "running and throwing" in camp on Thursday.

The Indianapolis Colts veteran quarterback was running and throwing on the Macholtz Stadium field late this afternoon. One person who saw Manning throwing said he was doing so with "decent velocity."

Stampede Blue, SB Nation’s Colts blog, notes that another Colts beat writer recently said that it was unlikely that Manning would practice with the Colts at any point in camp, and that he probably would not play at all during the preseason. While Manning might be in a somewhat unique situation of being able to get away with that, it still would surely help the Colts’ entire offense if he were able to get on the field before the Colts’ first regular-season game. We’ll see if what happened on Thursday is a step in the right direction.
