Welcome back to our Glaring Team Needs series! Every week we are going to pick three teams at random and briefly look for any holes we can find in their roster. Every team is in camp, but its still pretty early and most (all) are shaking off a little rust. Last week was three random NFC teams and this week we look at three AFC teams: Broncos, Patriots, and Steelers
Glaring NFL Team Needs
1. Denver Broncos - Biggest Need: DT Denver is a franchise in transition. NFL/Team legend John Elway has taken over operations. John Fox replaces McDaniels as head coach. Even the roster has not been safe from transition as there are many new faces. However, it seems they have over looked the defensive tackle position. The Broncos official site lists no depth chart, but it would look like Ty Warren and Marcus Thomas would start and there is not much behind them. DT has been a deep position the past two years, an average of seven have been taken in the top 50 picks, but not so in 2012. Plenty of time for that to change, but there are currently only three in the Top 50 of the 2012 Top 100 Prospects. 2012 Draft Pick: Alameda Ta'amu, DT Washington A 6'3'' 330 nose tackle who moves well for a tackle, but needs to develop better play recognition and staying low out of his stance.
