You read that headline correctly, Carl Edwards is the only Cup Driver entered this week.
Carl Edwards: Lone Cup Driver entered: The US Cellular 250 Preview
Brad Keselowski pulled out of the race following a hard crash while testing at Road America on Wednesday. Sam Hornish will take the reigns at Iowa. This leaves just Carl Edwards taking advantage of the Nationwide Series.
It’s underhanded being the only Sprint Cup ace surrounded by Nationwide Regulars. Edwards, who just resigned with Roush, announced he would not be running the full season next year either. We don’t know if that means Edwards will skip all of thee races again, or if he is going to do the right thing and cut back heavily for 2012.
