AC Milan Vs. Inter Milan, Italian Super Cup: Wesley Sneijder Scores Stunning Free Kick Goal

The Italian Super Cup has come alive early in Beijing, with both teams creating some brilliant chances and putting in some hard tackles. This doesn't look like a mere glorified friendly by any stretch of the imagination, as evidenced by the wild celebration from Wesley Sneijder and his teammates after his stunning opening goal. The man linked to both Manchester City and Manchester United doesn't appear to be going anywhere, or at least that's what his enthusiasm indicates.

Gennaro Gattuso gave away the free kick at the edge of the penalty area, and he did it with a pretty nasty tackle from behind. Gattuso was already on a yellow card before that tackle (surprise!) and the Inter players were frustrated with the referee for not sending him off, which he probably deserved. Sneijder paid no attention, though, and simply stepped up to hit a free kick that was as perfectly placed as it was powerful, brilliantly curling by Christian Abbiati into the underside of the crossbar, then into the back of the net in the 20th minute. Inter lead 1-0, and this looks like a proper derby match.
