The first half of the 2011 Italian Super Cup from Beijing has been a fantastic affair, with both AC Milan and Inter Milan going at it as if this were a proper Milan derby. Both teams have had plenty of chances to score, but only Internazionale have capitalized, with Wesley Sneijder scoring a fantastic free kick to give his team the lead. It could be his last goal in an Inter shirt, but if it is, it was a good way to go out.

Gennaro Gattuso gave away the free kick that lead to the goal, which will surprise absolutely no one. The Milan enforcer is lucky to not be off, as he has committed, at the very minimum, two yellow card offenses.
Milan have had a few chances of their own, mostly created by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Their first clear cut chance came just minutes before Sneijder’s goal, with Ibrahimovic setting up Robinho for a shot before the Brazilian blasted the ball over the goal. Ibrahimovic would have a chance of his own in the 40th minute, rattling a header off of the post before Julio Cesar picked up the ball.
Pato and Antonio Cassano are sitting on the bench for Milan, so they have a couple of different ways to shake up the game and give themselves a little bit more going forward. Kevin-Prince Boateng and Clarence Seedorf have been merely average, while Gattuso is asking for a red card. Bringing off any of the three for Cassano, who could play just behind the two strikers, would probably be a wise switch for Max Allegri.
