It’s pouring in Pocono.
Fortunately for the NASCAR Nationwide Series, they’re racing in sunny Iowa on Saturday night.
Elliott Sadler is on the pole for the U.S. Cellular 250 after setting a qualifying time of 23.794 seconds and 132.386 mph on Saturday. Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne will start next to Sadler after going 23.871 / 131.959.
It was almost a historic front row as Bayne and former Indianapolis 500 winner Sam Hornish Jr. were on the front row prior to Sadler’s pole-setting run.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who won May’s race, qualified fourth. Hornish will start third and Carl Edwards qualified 17th.
Hornish is taking the seat of Brad Keselowski, who was injured during a practice session on Wednesday at Road Atlanta. This could be a huge opportunity for a driver trying to land a full-time ride
The starting lineup can be found on the other side just ahead of the comments section.
Let’s do it.
