On Mondays throughout the season we'll spotlight some players who increased their NFL Draft stock over the weekend. Have more? Let everyone know in the comments.
Eric Page, WR, Toledo
In a 27-22 loss to Ohio State, Page often looked like the best player on the field Saturday. He consistently figured out ways to get open against an athletically superior Buckeyes secondary. On the game he had 12 catches for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Many of his catches came on out routes which showed off Page's suddenness and agility.
Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers
The knock on Sanu throughout his career has been that he's inconsistent. While he had some lapses in a loss to North Carolina Saturday, he was Rutgers' go-to player all game. Sanu isn't a big play wide receiver by any means, but he has a flare for the dramatic and is athletically gifted.
NFL Draft stock up spotlight
Going into this season, Ingram’s future status was uncertain as he moved inside to play tackle more. The high school running back showed he still knows how to score touchdowns with the two he had against Georgia. As a pro, though, he’ll probably be considered by many 3-4 teams because he fires off the ball well and can hold up against the run.
College stats are incredibly overblown, but you can’t help but marvel at the 17 tackle game Kuechly had against UCF. Plainly stated, Kuechly knows how to get after the ball. It’s all instincts with Kuechly. He’s never going to be a big-time pass rusher or line penetrator, but he rarely lets the ball carrier get passed him.
Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford
Regardless of whether it was against Duke, Martin had his way with Blue Devils defensive linemen. A lot of Stanford’s 205 rushing yards came to Martin’s side of the line and he was getting a good push all game. Even better for his draft stock, Martin showed improved awareness in the pass game to pick up unique blitzes.
