Stars of the Week - Week 2

This week featured plenty of impressive offensive performances. So many so that 125 receiving yards and 1TD did not even get mentioned. 100 rushing yards and 2TDs did not get mentioned. 330 passing yards and 4TDs did not get mentioned. That is how impressive this weeks offensive performances were. On the other hand, the defensive performances lacked any standout performances and only included six performances worthy of mention. After the jump, see this weeks stars of the week and the dud of the week.

Offensive Stars:

Star No. 1: Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots

Star No. 2: Miles Austin, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Star No. 3: Vincent Jackson, WR, San Diego Chargers

Honorable Mentions: Jeremy Maclin, Adrian Peterson, Fred Jackson, Darren McFadden, Denarius Moore

Defensive Stars:

Star No. 1: Roman Harper, S, New Orleans Saints: Harper was the best defensive performer of the week, posting seven tackles, two sacks for twenty-three yards, and forced a fumble.

Star No. 2: Charles Woodson, CB, Green Bay Packers: Woodson took advantage of the rookie Cam Newton, picking him off twice and also he has four tackles.

Star No. 3: Jason Hatcher, DE, Dallas Cowboys: Hatcher had four tackles and two sacks for fifteen yards lost. Great game for the third round pick from 2006 out of Grambling State.

Honorable Mentions: Morgan Burnett, Cullen Jenkins, DeMarcus Ware, Antonio Cromartie

Dud of the Week: Antonio Gates, TE, San Diego Chargers: Antonio Gates fantasy owners know just how awful he was. He posted zero catches. ZERO! He better step his game up for the rest of the season as his first two weeks have been more than disappointing.
