If line play is your thing, the Boise State at Georgia (8 p.m., ESPN) is for you.
Georgia features two offensive linemen that could go in the first 50 picks of the 2012 NFL Draft. Offensive tackle Cordy Glenn is a massive mauler who started 13 games at left guard last season. He's moving out to left tackle this season, so it will be interesting to see how he holds up. He's a powerful lineman, but his lateral agility hasn't been tested much.
The Bulldogs also have one of the best centers in the country with Ben Jones. The senior is a quick-footed blocker who excels against athletic, gap-shooting defensive tackles. If he can play with more power, he could challenge Ohio State's Mike Brewster as being the top center in next year's draft.
On defense Georgia has one of the most-hyped players in the country in redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Kwame Geathers. At 6-foot-6, 350 pounds, Geathers is getting a lot of attention as a player who could blossom into a star this season. For those trying to identify the next Phil Taylor, Geathers could be it.
Georgia Bulldogs loaded with NFL Draft prospects against Boise State
Georgia has another redshirt sophomore in
who could have a difficult pro decision to make after this season. Although he doesn’t have prototypical size at a listed 6-foot-1 and 211 pounds, Murray has an impressive of an arm as anyone in the nation.
Don’t forget about Georgia cornerback Brandon Boykin, either. He considered going pro after last season after a good performance in the Liberty Bowl.
The prospects in this game aren’t limited solely to Georgia, though.
Boise State defensive tackle
is a power pass rusher who could test Jones all night. Winn is technically sound, which negates an average first step. He could be considered a 3-4 end at the next level.
Another Boise player who could move positions in the NFL is left tackle Nate Potter. While he’s been a good player for the Broncos, he’s more of a guard in the NFL.
Senior running back
is powerful runner capable of breaking a big run at any time. He’s an all-around runner who can run between the tackles and work to the outside. He’s also a proven commodity catching the ball.
Strong safety
plays like a another linebacker when he plays in the box. When Iloka can move downhill against the run, he’s a rugged tackler. He struggles some in pass coverage because he doesn’t have great agility.
