For the second year in a row, Utah State has a promising prospect on defense who should hear his named called in the first round rounds of the draft. Last year it was cornerback Curtis Marsh, selected in the third round by the Philadelphia Eagles.
This year it's middle linebacker Bobby Wagner. He's sixth in the nation in tackles per game and had 18 in the team's loss to Colorado State. Wagner is an active linebacker with solid instincts and good enough athleticism. He won't blow anyone away with his size (listed at 6-foot-1, 232 pounds), but he plays with solid strength.
It's a game-time decision on whether or not confounding BYU left tackle Matt Reynolds will play against Utah State. According to reports, he has a sore foot. When he's healthy, Reynolds has heavy feet. It's hard to see him remaining at tackle in the NFL. He has the power, though, to be a factor at guard if he's willing to make the move.

The player I'm keying on the most this game is BYU defensive tackle Hebron Fangupo. The Southern California transfer is a space-filling tackle at 6-foot-1 and 331 pounds. He's a load against the run and has four tackles for loss on the season.
