The Georgetown Hoyas kept the Belmont Bruins at bay throughout the first half of Friday's second round 2012 NCAA Tournament game. A Jason Clark 3-pointer gave the Hoyas a 5-2 lead, and they never trailed from there. At half, they lead 36-27 in Columbus.

Clark finished with 13 points to lead the Hoyas, going 3-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc. Otto Porter added another trey to finished the half with 10 points. He has five rebounds to lead all players, helping Georgetown to a 16-12 rebounding advantage.
Belmont also shot well from long range, going 6-of-15 from beyond the arc. They went 3-for-8 on 2-point attempts, however, struggling with the Hoyas' size and athleticism. Blake Jenkins has eight points to lead the Bruins so far.
