March Madness Scores: North Carolina Up 12 On Vermont At Halftime

The Vermont Catamounts did well to hang with the North Carolina Tar Heels early in the first half, but UNC began to pull away late and has a 12-point lead at halftime. Tyler Zeller has struggled from the floor -- he's actually missed a couple of layups -- but he's 9-10 from the free-throw line. UNC's ability to get to the charity stripe is the biggest difference between the two teams, and North Carolina leads 37-25.

Eight different players have scored for Vermont, with none of them scoring more than six points. They've done well spreading the ball around and they're doing well to hang with UNC on the boards, but it probably helps that John Henson isn't playing. Vermont is 1-9 from beyond the arc, and they aren't going to keep this game interesting unless they start draining some threes.
