“I’m very tired, but I told my mom I talked to Craig Sager and I wanted to talk to him again.” And with that, an NCAA Tournament star was born. Kyle O’Quinn came up big for Norfolk State in its shocking upset of No. 2 seed Missouri on Friday, and then he jumped on the mic with Sager for a classic interview immediately following the game. And it was outstanding.

He was entertaining, had a sense of humor and pretty much summed up the jubilation that comes with a big March Madness upset, all in a 30-second interview. There’s not many things greater than a kid with one scholarship offer showing raw emotion after a game like that.
Can’t help but be excited for O’Quinn and Norfolk State. Their run may not last, but the Spartans gave us one big memory to take from this year’s NCAA Tournament.
