NCAA Tournament Scores: Kansas Trying To Avoid Becoming Third 2-Seed To Fall, Lead Detroit 34-24

After watching two of their fellow 15-seeds, Lehigh and Norfolk State, upset two-seeds earlier on Friday, the Detroit Titans clearly had upset on their minds when they came out of the gate against the No. 2-seeded Kansas Jayhawks. After more than 11 minutes of game time, the two teams were tied at 21, but the Jayhawks started to pull away and now lead 34-24.

Doug Anderson has provided the Titans with an emotional lift with two mammoth dunks, but it hasn't been enough to sustain over the Jayhawks, who many are pegging for the Final Four. He's leading the team with nine points. The Titans are shooting just 32.1 percent from the field, so if they can start to knock down some of their shots, they should be right there in the mix.

Thomas Robinson, the Big 12 Player of the Year, has been an absolute monster for the Jayhawks with 12 point and eight rebounds in the first half. The Titans, like most teams this season, have had no answer for him down low. Though the Jayhawks are just 1-6 from distance, the inside scoring of Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor's penetration -- he has 10 points -- has helped them shoot 50 percent from the field overall.
