Kendall Marshall already has 13 points at halftime, as the North Carolina Tar Heels take a 43-35 lead into the locker room over the Creighton Bluejays during Sunday's 2012 NCAA Tournament third-round game in Greensboro. The sophomore guard is 6-for-7 from the field, helping the Tar Heels shoot 54.5 percent for the half.
NCAA Tournament Scores: North Carolina Up 43-35 At Halftime Over Creighton
The Bluejays simply have not been able to keep up. Unsurprisingly, Doug McDermott is leading the way with 11 points so far on 5-for-12 shooting. Gregory Echenique has had some success inside with eight points and four rebounds. Otherwise, Creighton has struggled to generate much-needed offense, shooting just 37.5 percent from the floor.
John Henson returned from a wrist injury to start Sunday's game. He left late in the half after aggravating it, however. He picked up six points and eight rebounds before leaving. He also had two blocks, helping UNC to six total for the half.
