March Madness Scores, USF Vs. Ohio: Bulls Lead 27-21 Entering Halftime

Two more teams are facing off on Sunday in the 2012 NCAA Tournament's Round of 32. The No. 13-seed Ohio Bobcats and the No. 12 South Florida Bulls are trying to make it to the Sweet 16, but only one will advance. At haltime, the Bulls are holding a 27-21 lead.

The teams have been evenly matched throughout the first half, although Ohio hit a dry spell in the middle of the first half, during which time USF threatened to pull away. The Bobcats wouldn’t go quietly, however, cutting the lead back down to one point. The Bulls were able to pad the lead once again in the final minutes of the half. Both teams have certainly played hard. To wit:

Both teams were underdogs to make it this far, with USF having to knock off Cal to even make it into the Round of 64 as part of the First Four, then shocking the No. 5 Temple Owls. Likewise, the Bobcats pulled off a huge upset of the No. 4 Michigan Wolverines to advance to the third round.

The winner of this game will take on the North Carolina Tar Heels in the regional semifinals.
