The draw has been beneficial to both the Baylor Bears and the Xavier Musketeers thus far. In their Sweet 16 game on Friday, both will face what is almost certainly the toughest opponent that they have played so far in the NCAA Tournament.

Baylor and Xavier have had easy draws until this point. The real tournament starts on Friday for both teams.

Xavier drew an overachieving Notre Dame team in the first round, then played No. 15 seed Lehigh in the second round after their upset of Duke. Baylor faced off against South Dakota State in the first round, then Pac-12 tournament surprise winners Colorado, after they upset UNLV in the first round. Xavier will face elite athletes for the first time in this tournament when they take on Baylor, while the Bears will see some firsts as well. Namely, an experienced, highly talented senior point guard in Tu Holloway and a monstrous center in Kenny Frease.
