Final Four 2012: Kentucky And Louisville Fans Fight At Dialysis Center

A fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and a fan of the Louisville Cardinals got in a fight Monday, which might be the least notable news of the week if it weren't for the bizarre location: a dialysis clinic. According to WYMT in Kentucky, a Wildcats fan heard a Cardinals fan "running his mouth" about UL beating his beloved 'Cats, and he just wasn't having it.

“He just happened to think UofL would beat UK and he started to run his mouth,” explained dialysis patient Ed Wilson. Wilson also happens to be a self-proclaimed die hard UK fan. “That’s what started it.”

But Charles Taylor, who was waiting to get hooked up to a machine saw things differently. “I didn’t talk to him about the ball game; I was talking to another guy about the game,” The UofL fan exclaimed. “He was meddling. And told me to shut up and gave me the finger!”

...

So, offended by Wilson, Taylor took action. “I went up to him and I hit him, ” he said. “Didn’t hit him that hard, but I hit him.”

The police were called to break up the fight, but it was over before they arrived. The cops wrote it up as harassment, but charges weren’t pressed. Apparently, failing kidneys isn’t enough to keep these fanbases from each other’s throats, and it’s not even Saturday yet.

This game’s going to be awesome.
