Knile Davis to leave Arkansas for the NFL

Arkansas running back Knile Davis will forego his senior season.

Mike Zarrilli

Arkansas junior running back Knile Davis will forego his senior year of eligibility and will enter the 2013 NFL Draft according to Rich Cirminiello of CollegeFootballNews.com.

Davis rushed for 377 yards and two touchdowns in a limited role this year for the Razorbacks after missing all of the 2011 season due to a broken ankle. Davis was hampered with a hamstring injury that he suffered against Ole Miss and was forced to miss the next two games against Tulsa and South Carolina games because of it.

When healthy, Davis is one of the most explosive players in FBS as his 2010 sophomore campaign showed. Davis rushed for 1322 yards and 13 touchdowns on 204 carries under then Razorbacks head coach Bobby Petrino.

According to Cirminiello, Davis will sign with agent Mike Conley Sr. and will train with Michael Johnson to prepare for the 2013 NFL Combine held from Feb. 20-26 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.
