Peyton Manning Met With Dolphins On Monday

Free agent Peyton Manning met with the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals over the weekend and we can now add a third team to his list -- the Miami Dolphins. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Manning met with Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin between five and six hours on Monday. Other Dolphins staff members were included and the meeting took place in Indianapolis, not Miami.

The Dolphins seemed like a front-runner for Manning shortly after he was released last week but ever since then it seems like the momentum is heading in the opposite direction. Miami desperately needs a quarterback and think Manning is that guy, but it’s not clear if Manning feels the same about Miami.

Manning’s decision was at one point expected sometime before the start of free agency on Tuesday, but it’s becoming clear that won’t be happening. Looks like this will spill into later this week.
