Peyton Manning Contract Should Be Around 5 Years, $60 Million, According To Report

The Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans are the only two teams still alive in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes and now the numbers of Manning's expected contract are coming out. According to the Denver Post's Mike Klis, Manning's contract should be in the neighborhood of five years, $60 million.

An NFL source said Manning and his camp have narrowed their choices to the Broncos and Tennessee Titans. The parameters of the deal, according to the source, that both teams are working off: $60 million total, give or take, and a $30 million guarantee, give or take, spread over five years.

That’s a lot of money but well worth it — if Manning can throw, which we don’t exactly know yet. The Broncos are in North Carolina working Manning out. The Titans are also expected to see him throw at some point.

The Denver Post cites a Broncos source who says:

“We’re still in it,” said a Broncos source. “We don’t know. We’ll know more over the weekend.”

The Titans and their “contract for life” also believe they’re still in it.

While we await the next bit of Manning news, check out SB Nation’s latest on YouTube. Bomani Jones asks: Can Peyton throw?
