The New England Patriots will be heading to Indianapolis next week to prepare for Super Bowl XLVI against the New York Giants. Although this Sunday marks the first time in months without football, Patriots fans will be turning up at Gillette Stadium all the same.

According to ESPN Boston, the Patriots will hold a send-off rally on Sunday, January 29 prior to the team leaving town. Here are the details:

* The rally will be held inside Gillette Stadium. The Patriot Place gate to the stadium opens at 10:15, and a replay of the AFC Championship Game will air inside the stadium beginning at 10:30.
* The send-off program will begin at noon, with team president Jonathan Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick scheduled to speak.
* The event is free and open to the public. Parking is free, but tailgating is not allowed.

The event sounds like a fun opportunity for fans who aren’t able to attend the Super Bowl, but want to cheer on their team one last time this season.
