Super Bowl Weather Update: Conditions Shouldn’t Affect Travel

For a second year in a row, the Super Bowl will take place inside a dome, but that doesn't mean the weather can't affect peripheral areas outside of the game and Lucas Oil Stadium. However, the weather forecast three days out from the game doesn't show much in the way of any problems for fans of the New York Giants and the New England Patriots traveling to the game.

According to Wunderground.com, during the day of Feb. 2 the weather is supposed to be in the mid 40s with only a chance of rain. As we get closer to game time, the temperature is expected to dip into the 30s and possibly lead to a bit of snow. However, major snow is not in the forecast.

One year ago when Cowboys Stadium hosted the Super Bowl, Dallas was hit by snow and raised concerns over the city's response to the weather. After this year's big game in Indianapolis and 2013's edition at the Superdome in New Orleans, La., the 2014 game will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. That could be a snow game waiting to happen.
