eBay Item Of The Day
Who is this and what cool thing did he do? We’ll answer the latter here and the former after the jump. He is the player who had the longest career in which he had a hit in every major league game he played, which was 13, for a line of .425/.452/.450.
Tom Ruane reports on the longest career-ending hitting streaks at Retrosheet. While Glenn Williams -- whose autographed photo is the eBay Item Of The Day -- doesn’t have the longest such streak, he does have the longest for a player who had a hit in every one of his major league games played. His big league playing days ended with a separated shoulder.
