There isn't much talk about the Indianapolis Colts trading out of the No. 1 pick because they want to take quarterback Andrew Luck. Because that, the St. Louis Rams can seek much more for the second overall choice.
Some NFL executives are telling Jason La Canfora of NFL Network that the Washington Redskins could be the team looking to trade up. Getting the second pick should allow the Redskins to draft Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III. Should is the key word. As La Canfora points out, the Colts will perform their due diligence on Griffin.
Either way, with the second pick the Redskins could take the quarterback they so desperately need. What they'd have to likely give up is at least be an offer better than the ones the Cleveland Browns could offer. That could be their two first-round picks and their second this year. Washington would have to give up at least their first and second round picks (Nos. 6 and 39) and possibly a first-round pick in 2013.

For the Rams, they face a bounty of picks either way if they trade out. Having either pick four or six makes more sense if they want to pick someone like wide receiver Justin Blackmon. If he's not there, they'd be able to get a cornerback in either Morris Claiborne or Dre Kirkpatrick or an offensive lineman like Reilly Reiff or Jonathan Martin.
